Robert Saleh is an American football offensive consultant for the Green Bay Packers of the NFL as of October 2024. The Dearborn native was born on January 31, 1979, to Lebanese immigrant parents in Dearborn, Michigan. He graduated from Fordson High School in 1997. He played as a tight end at Northern Michigan University for four years before graduating with a degree in finance. However, the 9/11 tragedy sent him into football coaching as he realized his love to pursue his NFL coaching dream after witnessing his brother David escape from South Tower on that fateful day. After starting his coaching tenure at Michigan State University, Saleh went on to guide different defensive positions in the NFL for teams like the Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, and San Francisco 49ers before becoming the head coach of the New York Jets in 2021. Saleh went 20-36 with Gang Green in his three-and-a-half-year tenure in the Big Apple. Saleh joined the Packers in the role of offensive consultant after the Jets relieved him from his head coaching duties on October 8th, 2024.
